About the SocietyThe third oldest historical society in Arkansas, the Faulkner County Historical Society was created in April, 1959 to discover, promote, and share information that helps establish and illustrate our county history. Read more.

Communities

Like most early communities, those in Faulkner County were often established by sojourners traveling westward, searching for land or reuniting with friends or family. Regardless of sadness and rough circumstances, settlers remained and villages prospered. Read more.

Publications

The Faulkner County Historical Society publishes the Faulkner Facts & Fiddlings journal each spring and fall. The society published a 435-page book titled Faulkner County: Its Land and People in 1986 and a Census of Cemeteries in 1990. Read more.
Faulkner County Historical Society freely offers narratives and photos to promote interest and enjoyment of local history. We are pleased when you share our materials with others.
