Come celebrate the season at the OPEN HOUSE at the Faulkner County Museum and Dog Trot Cabin on Saturday, November 7, from 10 am to 4 pm on the Conway Courthouse square. The Museum’s main building and railroad exhibit will be open as well.
The cabin will be decorated for the season and volunteers will demonstrate traditional skills such as wood working, rope making, Dutch oven cooking, blacksmithing, etc.
Students from UCA’s History Department will present “Seasons and Decades, 1900’s to 1930’s,” including historic cars, corn husk doll making, oxen yoke demos, 1920’s fads and 1930’s ornament making for adults and children.
Enjoy hot apple cider, coffee, and ginger snaps and browse our Christmas gift shop with handmade crafts and baked goods. Admission is free, but donations are always gratefully appreciated.
Sponsored by the Faulkner County Museum, Faulkner County Historical Society, Faulkner County Master Gardeners, The Town and Country Garden Club, Conway Garden Club, Conway Evening Garden Club, and UCA’s History Department, College of Liberal Arts EDGE Program, and Service-Learning Program.
