♦  Cooperating with the food-for-victory farm campaign, so that boys and girls will be released earlier in the spring to work at home, four rural schools in Faulkner county, Guy, Vilonia, Mt. Vernon and Solomon Grove, have adopted a six-day week and are holding sessions on Saturdays, J. D. Bollen, county school supervisor, said today. “It is likely that other schools will follow this example in order to shorten the term,” Mr. Bollen said.

Roberts appointed William D. Ketcheside, Robert D. Nabholz and Alton Bryant. Roberts said ordinarily the appointments would have been made in late October, but there was a vacancy on the bench following Judge Wiley E. Beans’ death.
