Faulkner County Historical Society and the city of Conway will host a public meeting with Workin’ Bridges executive director Julie Bowers on Wednesday evening, May 3, from 4:00 until 8:00 at the Kings event center on Front Street.
Ms. Bowers will update attendees on the Springfield-Des Arc Bridge restoration and relocation project.
She will point out archaeological discoveries made apparent during the work and will be available to answer questions about this American-made bridge’s history as well as its future place in the city.
The installation of the bridge at Beaverfork Park will occur soon, and there will be several opportunities for people to participate in and contribute to this historic event.
Everyone is welcome.
