Arkansas artist Tim Baitinger has completed repairs on the three statues that were vandalized at Little Rock’s Mount Holly Cemetery back in April. Donations from the public partially financed the repair work.
Part of a historic family plot, the 3 life-sized Italian marble statues depict a mourner and two young Basham sisters, Pearl and Martha, who died in the 1880s.
Last April, the statues were snapped off at the ankles and pushed off their bases, where the larger one broke into at least three pieces, causing over $300,000 in damages. No arrests have been made in the incident.
