Bryant to Speak at Annual Meeting on April 21

Jimmy Bryant, former UCA Archivist who is now Director of Arkansas Heritage, will be guest speaker at the Faulkner County Historical Society (FCHS) Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Faulkner County Library. The public is invited.

Self-Guided Tour of Conway’s Robinson Historic District

Local history buffs, including Emily & Jeremy Walter along with the City of Conway (GIS department), have created a self-guided walking (or virtual) tour of homes in the Robinson Historic District just west of downtown Conway.

The tour takes you through the Conway’s history, as well as the roots, architectural influences, and details of specific families that lived in each home.

Jimmy Bryant, former UCA Archivist who is now Director of Arkansas Heritage for the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, will be the guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Faulkner County Historical Society which will be held Thursday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Mills Library located in Hendrix College’s Mills Center.

Cemetery Lecture / Workshop Set for April

Jonathan Appell of Atlas Preservation, Inc. will present a Spring Cemetery Conservation Lecture on common maintenance and preservation of cemeteries on Friday, April 19, at the Mount Vernon Senior Citizen Building/City Hall, 2 Garland Springs Road.
